I wonder if some of you might be willing to answer a couple of questions about ammo. Sometimes your AP is simply not going to do the job. 1 Posted (edited) I love playing this game but I don't have as much time as I'd like to read up/study things, to say nothing of actual play time. If they put out the fire, switch back to HE. Also, the switch game against bow-on can work. Aim at the superstructure, and you can sometimes take out a gun, or at least do more than minimal damage on the hit pool. Low AP at the waterline of an angled BB doesn't do much. While it's harder to get multiple shells into an angled ship at long range, all you gotta get is "one" into the top to have a chance of dealing some nasty damage. It's all about what kind of top armor the ship has protecting its cit. So the bow angle doesn't really come into play from a shell impact standpoint. ![]() The trajectory is often high enough that the AP hits in plunging trajectory. I fire BB AP at cruisers (and BBs) in any orientation in those early salvos at mid to high tier. ![]()
